Major streets and surrounding areas in Jos are looking clean and welcoming as Plateau State prepares for the Plateau Unity Christmas Carol and Praise Festival.

The annual event, known for promoting harmony and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, is already creating a festive mood in the city.

Our correspondent observed the level of preparations, especially efforts to maintain cleanliness along major roads and public spaces.

A visit to several streets, communities, and public areas in Jos showed that many locations have been cleared by staff of the Plateau State Environmental Protection and Sanitation Agency (PEPSA).

PEPSA personnel were deployed across different communities to clear drainages and remove waste ahead of the 2025 Unity Carol and Praise Festival.

At the Rayfield PRTV gate, some PEPSA staff were seen cleaning the surroundings.

Team leaders, Musa Emmanuel and Anna Illiya, told our correspondent that the exercise is part of ongoing efforts to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for guests expected at the annual celebration.

General Manager of PRTVC, Rita Kachollom Pam, commended the workers for their excellent job.

The annual Christmas Unity Festival is scheduled to take place from the 28th to the 30th of November.
