The General Manager is the Executive Head of the Corporation and all other Heads of Departments are answerable to him. He oversees the day to day activities and operations of the various departments of the Corporation.

The General manager is also the link between the Corporation and the Government. He/She also solicits support from Government on behalf of the Corporation in order to execute necessary programmes and projects

At Management level, the General Manager presides at meetings as Chairman and as Executive Head he has the final say in all decisions that affects the Corporation. This also implies that he is the Chief Executive in discharging his duties.

Rita Kachollom Pam(General Manager-PRTVC)

The dynamic and vibrant General Manager of PRTVC Rita Kachollom Pam has been the driving force behind the station’s turnaround, bringing innovation and visionary leadership to the forefront of broadcasting in Plateau State.

Appointed on July 10, 2023, by His Excellency, Governor Caleb Mutfwang, she was entrusted with the crucial mandate of supporting the “Time is Now” administration’s initiatives through accurate and responsible media coverage.

Rita’s educational journey began in 1982 at Township Primary School, Jos, followed by St Louis College, Jos, in 1987, where she earned her Senior Secondary School Certificate. Driven by her passion for broadcasting, she pursued a Diploma in Journalism at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1990. She further advanced her education by obtaining a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Jos in 2004, and in 2013, she completed a Master’s degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies at the same university.

Rita’s professional journey began in the Programs Department of PRTV as an Announcer. Over time, she ascended the ranks, gaining valuable experience and honing her management and strategic planning skills. Her expertise was further broadened through high-profile governance roles, including Chief Protocol Officer to the Wife of the then Governor of Plateau State, NGO Talatu Jang, Protocol Officer to Senator Jonah David Jang, Media Aide to Dachong Bagos, former member representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, and Chairman of the Protocol Committee Nzem Berom, Plateau State, among others.

Since taking over the helm of affairs at PRTVC, Rita has been a catalyst for change. Her strategic vision revolves around revitalizing the station’s content to reflect the rich cultural heritage of Plateau State while simultaneously meeting the evolving demands of a diverse audience. Her commitment to PRTVC’s mission—to empower the people of Plateau State through timely, relevant, and responsive broadcasting—is evident in every initiative she undertakes.

Recognizing the importance of continuous learning and networking, Rita was recently inducted into the Nigerian Institute for Public Relations and the Society of Nigerian Broadcasters. Her involvement in these professional bodies underscores her commitment to staying current in her field, expanding her professional network, and enhancing her skills.
