Our Mission
To empower the people of Plateau State through timely, relevant and responsible Broadcasting.
Our Achievements
1. The Corporation has purchased a good number of video and still digital cameras and red heads while old ones have beenrefurbished.
2. Aviation lights have been installed on the Miango Road AM Station mast to protect airplanes during night flights as demanded by law. A digital audio Station has also been reactivated.
3. Internet service is available and is presently functional in all areas of operations, newsrooms and some key offices to ensure that modern trends in broadcasting are met.
4. Computers have replaced obsolete typewriters and have been provided in most offices. Two digital photocopiers have also been purchased to enhance work quality and output.
5. A 20KVA and 6KVA standby generator have been purchased for use at the Administrative Headquarters which houses both AM and FM studios. Rechargeable lamps are also provided for all offices, transmission areas as well as torch lights for all official vehicles.
6. Additional modern office furniture is purchased and the offices of all Directors are renovated, tiled and furnished.
7. Shendam transmission station was roofed and ceiling work fully done for a befitting accommodation, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members are also provided accommodation at the former Broadcasting House.
Our Achievements
8. The Corporation also purchased four vehicles and overhauled the old ones to convey staff to their various assignments.
9. The present Management places high premium on training. As such, many staff members have gone on several training courses.
10. The Corporation undertook the renovation and refurbishing of the Rayfield and Headquarters Canteens with their toilets while new ones (toilets) are built at the Corporate Headquarters along J.D Gomwalk Road, Rayfield and Miango road Stations. New Studio’s doors are fixed to avert interface of external sounds when on air.
11. The Corporation has also provided water from already dug borehole at the Rayfield Station and the Corporate Headquarters.
12. As part of its social responsibility to the public, the Corporation organizes Day for the Physically Challenged, Five-Aside Football Competition, Christmas Tree Lighting, Carols and Nine lessons, School Funfair and Christmas Family Funfair among other yearly programmes.
13. The Corporation has succeeded in live coverage of State-wide Prayer and Fasting Summit at Rwang Pam Stadium, Governor’s Thank You Tour of Senatorial Zonal Headquarters, State Executive Retreat at NIPSS, Local Government Election and Christmas Carols.
14. Documentaries on Sanitation, Mining, Jingles on “Goskolo”, “Plateau the Beautiful”, Labor issues etc.
15. The Corporation in its efforts to reach the people, two more additional zonal offices are created located in Kanke and Langtang North LGAs as well as the opening of Abuja Bureau and Kafanchan Office
16. Networking and partnering with National and international Media outfits, for example, DW, BBC, VOA, SABC, VON, NTA, FRCN and private producers.
17. PRTVC has been a part of the peacebuilding efforts in Plateau State through jingles and programmes
18. PRTVC has participated in National events such as COJA, AFRICAST etc. and has received several awards among which is the Best Media partner Award.
19. The Corporation has been a breeding ground for nationally acclaimed media professionals like Nansel Nimmyel, Mariam Anazodo, Ibrahim Adara, Gloria Thomas, Maria Ode, Lohnan Dombin (Eldin), Grace Abdu etc.
